Alcohol in Nyquil?

It's been almost a year since I posted but let's see maybe I should start again and keep up with it.

So recently my cousin told me Vicks products such as Nyquil (Cough & Cold, etc.) have alcohol. I know a lot of my family members and others I know drink Nyquil, but no one ever thought to check ingredients because everyone just kept referring it to each other. And if anybody knew then obviously they would've done the opposite saying not to drink it. However, it's written in the ingredients and alcohol's haram (forbidden) for muslims.

Anyways, so I emailed customer support saying they should write "alcohol added" or whatever on the products that have it because many of the consumers are Muslim and alcohol's forbidden to us. I got a reply from them today.

Everyone around the world at this moment is way too hyped up to see what this game brings us. CANADA VS. USA for the gold in mens hockey!!

last time we saw something as intense was 2002 olympics- canada vs. usa... Canada won 4-2!

Today's game is gonna be a crucial one for americans and canadians.. there's millions sitting at home gathered together watching the game rooting for their team...

Canada's in lead with 13 gold and HOPEFULLY after the game Canada will be at 14 GOLD!!!

Congratulations to Canadians!!.. Canada has managed to get a Gold Medal.. BILODEAU ALEXANDRE got a Gold Medal in Mens Mogul's for freestyle skiing... Check out the results here What is it 5th day of olympics, for the first time this winter olympics O Canada was played... let's see how they do for the remainder of the 2010 Winter Olympics...

Okay so yesterday in men's snowboarding who saw that? Between Seth Wescott and Mike Robertson.. Obviously as soon as Mike Robertson was leading, everyone knew this was too good to be true and that something was gonna happen... SOOO what happens, little game of turtoise and rabbit, Canada decides oh we're so far ahead, let's start slowing down.. and USA goes in front... and obviously USA gets the Gold

Even though Pakistan has nothing it's still cool to see it listed under 2010 Winter Olympics.. Apparently Muhammad Abbas is only 4 years older than me which is pretty cool because when I first saw his face I thought he was gonna be like 30 something... He's supposed to be participating in Men's Giant Slalom- Alpine Skiing next week Tuesday.. Can't wait to see that

if we were meant to pop out of bed, we'd all sleep in toasters...

damn i didnt realize its been over a month since i last wrote..it's kinda weird I feel like everytime I write one of these I'm writing myself a letter..I think it'll still take me a while to get used to...nothing new is happening in my life so I dont really know what exciting updates to give you guys...

i am so tired i think im gonna go to sleep soon and prbly will write later..it takes me forever to get up.. a while ago NOOO LIE I used to have 15-20 alarms set to get me up in the morning...If i had class at 10.. my alarms used to go from like 8 15 to 9 something.. with around 3/4/5 min gaps.. sounds crazy I know...now it's better though I don't need that many

My cousin, Ayaz Hyder, just posted up a link I think you guys should check out; a Pakistani man qualified for the Winter Olympics... FIRST time in history! Hopefully he'll do better than our favorite Cricket team..

It's been exactly 30 days since I've had no class no exams and no studying to do. Sadly it all starts again on monday. I don't know how I'm gonna go back to waking up for classes, I've been so lazy. The record for the latest time I woke up this whole month is 4 30 pm. Actually I would have probably kept sleeping past that, but I think my grandma came up to check if I was still alive lol...she came up and she was like I was just checking to see what happened...no lie I couldn't believe it, I slept through the whole day... But anyways....

This is a quote from the movie, The Blindside. Tonight I saw that movie for the third time, its become one of my favorites. I recommend everyone watch this movie. It's a true story I won't ruin the story though. But I can guarantee after this movie you'll change the way you think towards others. It's a bad world out there and its stories like this that tell you there are a lot of good people out there.

I also saw Avatar yesterday, I thought it was a pretty cool movie. At first when I heard its name I thought it'd be stupid as anything but after hearing many good reviews I thought I'd watch it too, and I really liked it. How cool would it be to live a life like that? It'd be amazing to have an avatar of our own.

Me and my friends went out to dinner on Monday for my birthday. Just wanna say Thanks a lot to everyone for coming and making it amazing!

09 was an alright year for me, I hope 2010 is a good year for all of us. Of course beautiful long summer vacation is only a few months away, which means JERSEY! I'm pretty excited for this new year though, one of my cousins in Jersey is getting married.. so can't wait for that Inshallah!
I'm pretty certain I won't write until way after the new year has begun, so...

Even though there's a lot of issues going around about it concerning privacy and all that jazz, it's like if you don't have facebook you're missing out way to much. It's good you get to stay in contact with all your old friends and family.
I was saying to my friend, now when I meet someone new I KNOW for a fact I'll be able to contact them as long as I know their name and obviously what they look like. Before you had to grab out a notepad, write down their name, number, email address, blah blah. Most of the time you don't even have to ask, do you have facebook? you just assume they do. And now it's so hard to NOT keep in touch, almost all of us use either all of these or at least 2 - Facebook, Blogs, Skype, Instant Messengers... Some people would say it could get annoying though, there's ALWAYS someone who knows 1 thing about what you've done in the day.

You don't even have to talk to people every day, it's just knowing that they're there feels good. It's convenient for everything, posting up pictures, running events, etc. Because of Facebook I know of so many events that happen in the area that I never knew about before - islamic, school related, career related, everything. Best thing about fb is that it's the best distractor and pass timer lol. And I know ALL OF YOU sit and read bumper stickers and send random ones to everyone when you are supposed to be writing papers or studying for tests. Facebook just keeps everyone close, and that's what I like about it!

Let's see how long Facebook stays alive- if it just stays the same as now or if it dies out and some other cooler form of communication beats it...

I do that and my cousin's think only weird people eat that, so help me prove them wrong please..

How is US getting more snow than Canada?

I'm not too good with writing regularly, as someone already pointed out. Thanks I reaaally do appreciate that.

I would have never thought the states would get more snow than us. Most of my cousins live down in New Jersey, few in NY, and VA. Throughout the day they were showing me pictures of how the snow was piling up. Take a look at my cousin's blog, she has updated pictures of how much snow fell and when during the day - From My Perspective. It's still not as much as I thought it'd be, for there a few cm is a lot. For us in Canada, it has to be almost up to our cars height to be considered 'stuck indoors'. Anyways I'm pretty glad it hasn't snowed much here, yesterday I was out walking without a jacket and it wasn't too cold. I just hate snow when it turns into slush and of course into ice.

I'm ALMOST done season 5 of House, FINALLY! I think I see almost 5-8 episodes a day. Last episode I saw was The Social Contract. This season is way too interesting. In the recent episodes, Cuddy, the dean of medicine, becomes a foster parent. It's all about House telling her to give up the child, and Wilson saying no keep her. Cuddy leaves work and gives her position to Cameron. Cameron and House start to play a game with one another putting patients lives at risk so Cameron ends up leaving the position and goes back to her old job. Cuddy comes back and gets a nanny for the baby. I kind of spoiled the season finale for myself, I read somewhere that one of the team members under House commits suicide. I still don't know how it happened and if it really does happen though. And my friend Waleed is a huge pain in the ass because he just told me Cuddy and House get engaged. THANKS for ruining the rest of the show. Anyways I'm planning after I catch up with House, to start watching all of Lost.

It's my nephews birthday today, Ibrahim's turning 5 today mashallah. Can't believe how fast all these little kids are growing up!

I was waiting for my next House episode to load, and I think it's pretty much loaded.

Never blogged before this will be my first time. Will probably talk about random things once in a while..

So I've been on vacation for 10 days now and have been doing nothing - mostly just eat and sleep. But for most of the people who know me they would say that's the same I did when I had classes too.. but I love that feeling of sitting at home with no exams..

Got my cpr and first aid certification this past weekend which was pretty cool.

For a while now I've been hooked onto the tv series House MD. Over these past 10 days I've seen season 4 twice, and few episodes many more times. Ordered box seasons 1-5 few days ago so can't wait till that comes.

Pakistan vs NZ who's keeping up with that?

Past few games Pakistan has been whooping NZ, NZ was 99 all out recently.

what is up with today's game ehh.. for the first few wickets I thought it'd be over for Pakistan, even now they aren't playing that well 115/6 but there is some hope for them. It'd be amazing if they possibly hit 200/250 runs..

anyways back to watching the game
